Job Overview

Pharmacy Technician I – Full-time, 8‑hour shift (8:00am–5:00pm Central Time), Monday through Friday at 4751 HAMILTON WOLF RD, STE
101, San Antonio, Texas. Additional weekend or holiday hours may be required based on company needs.

• Verify member information and input data for pharmacists.
• Educate members on pharmacy‑based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs.
• Process prior authorization requests from physicians’ offices, ensuring compliance with Medicare requirements and informing relevant parties of determinations.
• Provide resolution for grievances and appeals issues.
• Respond to inquiries from physicians, the sales team, and members regarding formulary and prescription benefits.
• Generate reports on rebates, physician utilization, Beers Criteria, Reliance members, and other ad‑hoc reports.
• Maintain record‑keeping of prior authorizations, rebates, and monthly reports.

• High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current State Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification required.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem‑solving, facilitation, and analytical skills.
