💰 $135K–$150K + Vehicle Allowance + Sign-On Bonus

The Opportunity

A leading federal contractor is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to support large-scale USACE construction projects in San Antonio, Texas
. This is a site-based, permanent role for a senior-level professional who can independently own and execute the full Quality Control programme on complex, high-value federal work.

This position requires confidence, precision, and proven credibility with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
. You will serve as the Lead QCM, responsible not just for compliance, but for setting the standard of quality across the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently develop, write, implement, and manage the full Quality Control Management (QCM) Plan
  • Act as Lead QCM on large-scale federal construction projects valued at $100M+
  • Oversee all QC processes including submittals, revisions, inspections, testing, and documentation
  • Coordinate closely with field teams, subcontractors, and USACE representatives
  • Ensure all work complies with contract documents, specifications, and Corps requirements
  • Maintain meticulous QC records and reporting throughout the project
  • Serve as a professional, composed point of contact with the Corps — confident, collaborative, and detail-driven
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 10 years of construction experience
    , with background as a Superintendent, Project Manager, or QCM
  • Demonstrated experience serving as Lead QCM on large federal projects
  • Proven ability to own and manage a QCM plan end-to-end
  • Well-rounded construction knowledge across multiple disciplines — not limited to civil or structural scopes
  • Documented experience delivering projects valued at $100M+
  • Strong understanding of QC documentation, inspections, submittals, and revisions
  • Highly detail-oriented, organised, and confident working directly with USACE
  • Able to provide a detailed project profile list including project size, scope, and personal responsibilities
Certifications & Technical Experience
  • CQM for Contractors (USACE) – highly desirable
  • QCM certification preferred
  • Procore experience a plus (not required)
  • QCM: ~$135K
  • Senior QCM: ~$150K + vehicle allowance
