Overview

Quality Control Technician:
Under the direction of the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager, the Technician is responsible for ensuring Cuisine Solutions products meet food safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

Working Hours

1st shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm); 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm); 3rd shift (11:00 pm - 6:30 am)

Responsibilities
  • Conducts and documents quality control inspections/controls.
  • Conducts and documents inspections for personal hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Collects samples from the environment or food product for sensory, microbiological or chemical testing.
  • Performs equipment calibration as established by quality assurance procedures.
  • Responsible for identifying and investigating non-conformities.
  • Coordinates and enforces corrective action for non-conformities with the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Recommends new quality policies and procedures as necessary to ensure high quality products, processes and services.
  • Observes and reports quality issues throughout the food manufacturing facility.
  • Assists in completing corrective and preventative action investigations and any other food safety and quality related action items.
  • Assists with audit preparation as needed.
  • Reviews quality control records, takes necessary actions and retrains production staff as needed.
Education / Experience
  • Minimum of 2-5 years' experience working in a restaurant, food industry or sanitation company.
  • Exposure to food industry audits, good manufacturing practices, and other food safety standards is a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate values of honesty and integrity, respect for others, teamwork, collaboration, accountability, and performance.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
