About the RoleWe are seeking qualified contractors to fulfil the role of FAI Quality Auditor, who will be responsible for reviewing and delivering First Article Inspection (FAI) package review results per AS9102 and client requirements. The role will require continuous metrics tracking to meet the increasing FAI load throughout the year. This opportunity is open to individuals located in San Antonio, TX and/or surrounding areas.
Contractors will be engaged and paid by a third‑party payroll supplier, BCforward, which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize, review, and deliver First Article Inspections (FAIs) for sustaining parts and development projects
- Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) assessments per AS9102 for verification of customer/client requirements
- Track metrics continually to meet the increasing FAI load throughout the year
- Develop and operate quality management systems to drive quality excellence and business performance
- Manage process improvement efforts using quality methodologies and principles
- Provide operational excellence practices and training
- Identify and assess enterprise risks, developing an integrated approach to actively manage those risks
- Analyze designated performance measures and reports to ensure work is consistently and effectively performed
- First Article Inspections (FAIs) for sustaining parts and development projects

- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must reside in San Antonio, TX
- 1-Year Blueprint Reading experience
- 2 Years Manufacturing Experience
- 1 Year Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field
- Experience understanding, reviewing and interpreting inspections
- Process Outsourcing experience
- Microsoft Access experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience with graphs and V‑Lookup
- Programming/Coding skills
- Self‑motivated, high energy with strong decision‑making skills
- Highly effective team player with solid communication skills
Compensation ranges vary by location. The following is the anticipated hourly range for each state:
- California: $36 – $46
- Colorado: $33 – $42
- Cleveland, OH: $31 – $39
- District of Columbia: $38 – $48
- Illinois: $34 – $43
- Maine: $32 – $40
- Maryland: $35 – $45
- Massachusetts: $37 – $47
- Minnesota: $34 – $42
- New York: $39 – $50
- New Jersey: $36 – $46
- Virginia: $34 – $43
- Washington: $38 – $49
