Quality Control Specialist
Job Description
The Quality Control Specialist will perform in-process laboratory quality tests to ensure the accuracy and acceptability of specimens, tests, and test results. They will analyze lab results and release these results, identifying areas for process improvement.
Responsibilities
* Conduct in-process laboratory quality tests to verify the accuracy of specimens and test results.
* Analyze laboratory results and release them after ensuring they meet quality standards.
* Identify areas for process improvement within the laboratory setting.
* Maintain document control and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
* Manage inventory control and quality assurance processes.

Skills & Qualifications
* Recent Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field is preferred.
* Knowledge in science testing and quality processes.
* Strong communication skills.
* Experience working night shifts.
Work Environment
The position is based in a laboratory environment where the desk is also located. Initial training will be conducted Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Following training, the work schedule will be Sunday, Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
