Position Available:Factory Quality Specialist
Job Summary: The Factory Quality Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s factory and supplier quality programs. This role serves as the primary owner of factory quality processes, including supplier audits, quality documentation, compliance tracking, inbound quality inspections, and resolution of factory‑related quality concerns.
This position works closely with internal teams and external manufacturing partners to ensure factory quality standards are maintained while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across a growing supplier network.
- Coordinate and manage supplier and factory audit programs for approximately 40+ active and developing factories.
- Schedule, track, and maintain required factory audits and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all supplier audits remain current and compliant with company requirements.
- Maintain audit records, certifications, corrective action plans, and supplier quality documentation.
- Monitor audit expiration dates and proactively coordinate renewals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for factory‑related quality matters.
- Investigate and document quality issues originating from manufacturing partners.
- Coordinate corrective actions with factories and internal stakeholders.
- Track quality trends and recurring issues to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Follow up on corrective action plans to ensure timely completion.
- Manage inbound quality inspection processes and documentation.
- Review incoming product quality reports and inspection findings.
- Escalate quality concerns and coordinate resolutions when necessary.
- Maintain records of inbound quality checks and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and tracking tools.
- Ensure supplier quality records are accurate, organized, and readily accessible.
- Prepare quality reports, metrics, and status updates for leadership.
- Partner with sourcing, operations, product management, and supplier partners to address quality concerns.
- Support onboarding of new factories by ensuring quality requirements are documented and understood.
- Communicate quality expectations and requirements to suppliers and internal teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, supplier quality, manufacturing support, operations, compliance, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with manufacturers, suppliers, or factory partners.
- Experience coordinating audits, compliance programs, or quality systems.
- Background in consumer products, food brokerage, retail, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
- Experience tracking corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives.
- Prolongedperiodssitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able tolift upto 15 pounds at times.
