Overview

Join our dynamic team as an ICC Soils/Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials through precise testing and inspection. You will be actively involved in collecting data, conducting quality control checks, and supporting construction site activities to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.

Duties

  • Perform on-site and laboratory testing of concrete, aggregates, and other construction materials following established standards and procedures
  • Collect, record, and analyze data related to material properties, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all test result
  • Conduct quality inspections of materials at various stages of construction to verify compliance with project specifications and contractual requirement
  • Assist with concrete forming, masonry work, and other construction activities as needed to support project progress
  • Support quality control processes by inspecting materials, documenting findings, and reporting discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Participate in construction site inspections to monitor work quality, safety protocols, and adherence to contract term.
  • Maintain detailed records of tests, inspections, and data collected for review and reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • ICC Soils or ICC Reinforced Concrete certification.
  • Laboratory experience with material testing equipment and procedures is highly desirable.
  • Construction site experience, particularly in concrete forming, masonry, or general construction activities.
  • Strong understanding of quality control practices and inspection techniques within the construction industry.
  • Ability to collect accurate data, analyze results, and identify potential issues or deviations from standards.
  • Familiarity with contracts related to construction projects and the importance of compliance measures.
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with good communication skills for reporting findings clearly.
  • Basic analysis skills to interpret test results and support decision-making processes.
