Chipton-Ross is seeking a Product Acceptance Specialist B for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- 4+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality or experience in a regulated industry
- 4+ years of experience using SAP
- 4+ years of experience in quality inspection
Responsible for conducting customer order verification, in compliance with Boeing procedures, Regulatory requirements (FAA, CAA, etc.) and customer requirements. Primary role will be to perform complete part inspections on customer orders, determine FAA approval type and part application. Complete 8130-3 and non-regulatory documentation (ATA 106). Responsible for timeliness and accuracy of orders to ensure customer satisfaction. Work in other QA areas as directed by QA Leadership.
Route work according to its weight requirement and re‑direct if necessary. Complete verification compliant to Customer flow down requirements. Enter information in SAP and scan material in and out of QA. Some additional tasks assigned by the Manager may be required.
- Verifies product conformance requirements
- Perform physical product inspections, and validate documentation for accuracy
- Validate FAA Type Approval code for customer product
- Segregates and controls all non‑conforming items
- Scan product to inspector’s line for product inspection
- 2+ years of experience working in a cross‑functional work environment
- Lift requirement of 35lbs is required for this position
- The candidate must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds
- Exposure to noise, working on elevated platforms
- Use personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hand, and arms as required
- Pass visual acuity and color perception tests
- Read, write, and comprehend the English language
- Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material
- Obtain & maintain training certifications as required to support assignment responsibilities
- Occasional (1 to 3 hrs) finger manipulation
- On occasion, a 2‑person lift may be necessary for weights greater than 50 lbs
- Frequent reaching overhead (3 to 6 hrs)
- Frequent walking on flat surfaces
- Frequent standing flat or uneven surfaces
- Frequent balancing on a ladder, steps, or uneven surfaces
- Occasional climbing on 3‑12 ft ladders or stands
- Rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bend/stoop, lying down, and operate foot controls for an extended period of time
- Occasional contact with metals
- Frequent exposure to noise
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate)
FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT; 1st, 2nd & 3rd.
