Quality Control Specialist

The Quality Control Specialist will perform in-process laboratory quality tests to ensure the accuracy and acceptability of specimens, tests, and test results. They will analyze lab results and release these results, identifying areas for process improvement.

• Conduct in-process laboratory quality tests to verify the accuracy of specimens and test results.
• Analyze laboratory results and release them after ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the laboratory setting.
• Maintain document control and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Manage inventory control and quality assurance processes.

• Recent Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge in science testing and quality processes.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience working night shifts.

This role is based in a laboratory environment where the workstation and desk are located within the lab. The position supports high-throughput testing operations for patient, donor, and biological samples in a state-of-the-art laboratory setting. The standard training schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Once training is complete, the regular work schedule follows a night shift from Friday through Monday, 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The environment requires strict adherence to laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols, with appropriate laboratory attire and protective equipment worn at all times.

This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX. The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
