Job Description
Seeking a motivated individual who enjoys multidisciplinary projects that involve collaboration and teamwork. The position holder will work closely with faculty in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the Center for Inherited Oncogenesis to support clinical research studies. Experience in women’s health will be an asset, but is not essential for candidates with other relevant experience.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of research department staff on a daily basis, establishing goals, priorities, and expected performance levels, and deploying the team for efficiency to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
- Ensure safety practices and protocols are followed.
- Manage the start‑up and oversight of clinical research projects, monitor budgets, conduct research, and recommend and purchase equipment.
- Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to the research team.
- Manage project resource needs such as enrolling patients, collecting biospecimens, protocol review, and regulatory forms.
- Maintain research databases and ensure documents and study files are prepared, maintained, and executed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, tracking progress and completion of projects.
- Participate in the recruitment process for staff.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Can take nine years of research coordination or related experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Qualifications- Ability to prioritize timelines and tasks to meet deadlines.
- Ability to lead in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
Five years of related experience. This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO‑GA‑48.
