Position SummaryUIWSOM is seeking a full-time Senior Clinical Research Coordinator to assist in the oversight and administration of its research programs. The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator reports to the Associate Dean of Research.

- Provide administrative support to the Office of Research and Innovation.
Duties include:- Participate as a member and provide support for the Research and Scholarly Activity Committee.
- Administer intramural funding programs administered by the Office of Research and Innovation for faculty and student research and for student research-related travel and publications.
- Research various extramural sources to identify funding opportunities for faculty and staff. Participates in the preparation of funding applications.
- Recruits, instructs, and secures consent of research participants as appropriate. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of research assistants carrying out clinical research protocols.
- Promotes safety and confidentiality of research participants at all times, adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration ( OSHA ), Good Clinical Practices, ( GCP ), Good Laboratory Practices, and the requirements of the UIW Office of Human Research Protection ( OHRP ) and the Institutional Review Board ( IRB ).
- Documents all correspondence and communication pertinent to the research program. Interacts and communicates with the Principal Investigator(s), site personnel, research participants, subcontracted organizations, and the funding organizations.
- Ensures timely dissemination of compelling results through print and television media as well as social media communications about the research team’s achievements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of scientific concepts and research design.
- Ability to learn skills in the identification of funding opportunities and preparation of funding proposals.
- Must have at least intermediate level experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook or equivalent.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Exemplary organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to assist in website management.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA .
Bachelor’s Degree.
