The Kitchen Line Cook will be able to assist in preparing a wide variety of foods while working quickly and in an organized manner. The kitchen line cook will also be friendly and eager to work as part of a team and possess previous experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

• Maintain food quality by following recipes, portion control, and quantities of preparation to minimize waste, and cost with kitchen supervisors and kitchen staff alongside with the Kitchen Manager.
• Carry out the opening and/or closing duties of the kitchen.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
• Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen stations, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
• Coordinate daily with the kitchen supervisor for operations necessities.
• Accomplish company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
• Communicate and enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of the kitchen alongside kitchen supervisors with the direction of the Kitchen Manager.
• Maintain a professional restaurant image, including proper uniforms and appearance standards.
• Perform additional responsibilities, as requested by the Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Supervisor at any time.

• Excellent communication skills. Bilingual – English and Spanish.
• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Previous prep or line cook experience.
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment, and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and organization.
• This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
• Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
• Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Provide or obtain Texas Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire.
