Primary responsibilities are to assist guests with seating and inquiries, assist servers with food delivery to tables, table cleanup, and remain compliant with health and safety standards. The HE  reports directly to the Front of the House Manager for Bar.

• Full knowledge of the food and drink menu items and origin of live seafood
• Greeting guests as they enter and put them on a waiting list if necessary
• Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions
• Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas
• Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the correct number of guests
• Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering questions
• Alert servers when tables need attention
• Clean tables and remove dishes after the party leaves
• Carry loads of soiled dishes to the dishwasher to be cleaned
• Ensure availability of clean dishes, flatware, glasses, straws, napkins, and other dining materials
• Ensure all food orders leaving the kitchen are accurate and contain the proper garnish
• Deliver food orders to guests in a timely manner
• Perform running side work, opening duties, and closing duties as required
• Obtain and maintain:
  • Food Handler Certification
  • TABC Certification
