Hall Concession Worker supports the set‑up/breakdown of event arrangements and janitorial duties associated with events booked in rental facilities to include oversight of security personnel and assisting the event hall renters. The Hall Concession Worker is also responsible for providing fast and friendly service in the concession area such as taking orders, handling money, preparation of food and maintaining a clean and sanitized area.
This role has decision making responsibilities within essential job functions, in keeping with organizational policies.
- Supervising and assisting that the hall’s operation follows Security protocol & Health Department standards.
- Opens, operates and closes the concession operation to include but not limited to closing out cash registers.
- Knowledge on how to use the credit card machine or QR Code.
- Concessions Cashier – Cash handling, taking orders, and serving concessions products.
- Cleans and maintains concession areas following health department standards.
- Prepares and serves food and drink products to patrons following health department standards.
- Conducts product inventories, informs the office to place orders and restocks product.
- Accommodate and provide great customer service.
- Interact with customers and clients in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well‑being of self, others.
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.
- Responsible for checking the renter is following the hall rental policy and guidelines.
- (In the absence of the Church Custodian) Custodial duties – emptying trash, cleaning and restocking restrooms, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Emptying trash, cleaning and restocking restrooms, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facilities.
- Cleans restrooms, kitchen, hallway, and hall before and after the events.
- Clean the tables and chairs. Put the excess tables and chairs in the storage room.
- Replenishes supplies in the restrooms and kitchen.
- Applies universal precautions in cleaning practices.
- Maintains the security of issued keys, secures buildings, turns off lights, sets thermostats.
- Conducts emergency clean ups and repairs as needed.
- Communicates maintenance and repair issues to the pastor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Knowledge and ability to operate a cash register/point of sales system while following cash handling guidelines.
- Knowledge and ability to prepare/serve food and drinks following Health Department Standards.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

- Required to work some nights and weekends.

- Required to work in various climate conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent
ExperienceExperience in food services and customer services
Experience with past custodial work or building maintenance preferred but not required
License and CertificateFood Handler Certified
