$16.50 to $26.48 per hour

This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. A minimum of 1 year retail management experience is required.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. The Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day-to-day operations, promoting a positive/productive environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. This role sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

Alongside the Store Manager, this position analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met. You will commit to the company’s asset protection program, promote our business, and target new customer acquisitions. Employees work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Final pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues quickly.
  • Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and follow procedures to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control and proper documentation for loans.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
  • Maintain operating standards to meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
  • Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Should be able to work in multiple locations as needed.
  • Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
