Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

Pay
: $12.95 to $15.95 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.14 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and assists customers in processing sales, loans, and other transactions, and helps with inquiries and problem resolution. Associates work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Final pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with customers to build rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays maintained.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; contribute to a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training and other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods, including climbing, pushing, pulling, and bending, in compliance with laws.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or access exterior storage.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to serve customers and work as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
