Position

Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate at First Cash pawn stores nationwide. The role involves customer service on both lending and retail sides, engaging with customers, processing sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

Compensation
Hourly wage: $12.95 to $15.95 per hour. Commission structure pays for every transaction processed; plus eligibility for an additional commission based on productivity. The position offers earning potential with commission above base wage.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail operations. The associate greets and assists customers, processes sales, loans, and other transactions, and addresses customer inquiries and problem resolution. The role involves working with jewelry and general merchandise, including firearms in applicable locations.

Responsibilities

• Greets and builds rapport with customers to provide suitable financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures; keep the sales floor clean and properly stocked.
• Process sales and loan transactions per policy; handle cash and negotiable items per policy.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards; explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; collaborate to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training and perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; perform duties for extended periods; standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, etc.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Minimum Age: 18;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, be team-oriented, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math proficiency; cash handling experience preferred; computer literate with POS systems.
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations as needed; willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Commission Plan Information

The commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have potential to earn 2–8% commission based on personal gross profit. Details provided during interview.
