Pay and Commission
$12.95 to $15.95 per hour. Easy commission structure for every transaction processed. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.25 per hour on top of hourly rate.

Entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the store staff to provide customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. They greet, engage, and process sales, loans, and other transactions while handling a wide variety of merchandise including jewelry, tools, electronics and firearms (in FFL locations). Salary is hourly plus commission based on productivity, location, qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities- Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
- Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
- Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and display merchandise.
- Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handle all cash and negotiable items per company policies.
- Answer incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools.
- Partner with all employees to create a positive, memorable customer experience.
- Complete all assigned training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable performing duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
- Must be able to work with firearms and attain firearms certification.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items in exterior storage.
- Minimum age 18.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Strong desire to work with customers, team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan InformationThe employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details provided during the interview process.
