Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, driving sales, and leading a high-performing team. This role involves customer service, staff development, inventory management, and ensuring operational excellence.
Schedule: Mandatory weekend availability
Pay: $52,000 annually

- Support the Store Manager in driving sales performance and achieving KPI targets
- Assist in training, motivating, and coaching the sales team to provide exceptional customer service
- Assist with large sales transactions and help staff build multi‑item sales
- Open and close the store, ensuring proper security procedures are followed
- Maintain a strong knowledge of store merchandise, including clothing, shoes, T‑shirts, gifts, souvenirs, and sundries
- Monitor stock levels and communicate with management regarding merchandise fit, popularity, and replenishment needs
- Utilize store software systems effectively for inventory tracking, sales reporting, and store operations
- Assist in merchandising, visual displays, and store presentation to ensure an appealing shopping experience
- Assist with inventory management, receiving shipments, and merchandise transfers
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies, loss prevention strategies, and safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
- 2+ years of experience in a lead or management role within a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate a sales team.
- Strong problem‑solving and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and retail POS systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift merchandise up to 60 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- TAM Card (Alcohol Beverage Awareness Certification) may be required, depending on location.
- Security clearance may be required, depending on job duties
- Employment may be contingent upon passing background checks and/or drug screening, where permitted by law
