Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) San Antonio, TX 78253

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently, showcasing your organization and time‑management skills and establishing retailer relationships while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies within the stores you service.

and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $12.00-$14.00
    per hour depending on skills and experience.
  • Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
  • Part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits including medical, dental, vision, and other insurance options.
Availability & Hours
  • Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours: 13‑15 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required

  • Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Role and Responsibilities

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The position consists of three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory within and outside the department. Technology is critical for daily tasks and communication with supervisors, reporting, and surveys.
  • Holiday support: Additional days and extended hours are required during peak holiday periods such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Work may be required on the actual holiday itself, including weekends.
  • Department resets: You may be part of a team responsible for installations, building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Assignments are typically notified two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who support other team members as needed.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Capable of grasping, pulling, lifting, and carrying products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Proficient in operating a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
  • Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
