Responsible for the implementation of all visual product lines including Digital Billboards, Factory Andon, LED Displays and LED Lighting. Must execute regional sales plan through interaction with customers and prospects, sustain long‑term relationships with key accounts, and further Electro‑Matic’s growth and development of an assigned territory.
Essential Functions- Achieves assigned sales goals
- Coordinate and review sales account distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals
- Interact with principals to ensure joint sales objectives are accomplished
- Create a professional development growth plan for each sales individual, monitor performance toward goal achievement, provide training directives, and perform yearly performance evaluations
- Monitor sales budgets for travel and entertainment expenses
- Sustain long‑term relationships with key individuals in key accounts
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet websites, and other sources
- Display or demonstrate product using samples or catalog, emphasizing salable features
- Quote prices and credit terms and present sales contracts for orders obtained
- Forecast future business
- Work with the Inside Sales Team Customer Service Representatives to facilitate customer requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts
- Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries
- Prepare expense reports and maintain expense budget requirements
- Attend and conduct business at trade shows
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Five or more years of outside sales experience, preferably in visual LED lighting solutions such as displays and billboards
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills for contact with customer service representatives, sales representatives, customers, and other departments
- Technically proficient with PC‑based programs such as Windows, MS Word, Excel and Power Point
- Strong business, creative, and technical writing skills
- Effective organizational, planning, and problem‑solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to multitask
- Valid driver’s license required
- Occasional out‑of‑town travel required, including overnight stays, weekend assignments, and international opportunities
- Physical Demands:
- Sit at a desk for extended periods of time
- Use arms, hands, and fingers to handle, feel, and reach for items
- Listen to and talk with fellow staff and internal and external customers
- Occasionally crouch and crawl
- Drive for extended periods of time
- Travel via commercial airline
- Lift up to 20 pounds
