Job Overview
Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a fast‑paced environment where technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience are continuously evolving. They immerse themselves in significant connections with customers and build new and deepen existing relationships.
They continuously work to uncover customer needs and educate, demonstrate, and recommend device and service solutions in preparation for the next level up as a Mobile Expert. As a Mobile Associate, you will be required to successfully complete new employee training.
- Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers while providing a world‑class experience and building loyalty by helping customers resume their shopping journey, exploring individual needs, providing hands‑on demonstrations, selling personalized solutions beyond standard devices and plans, and approaching service and sales needs with composure, integrity, and compassion.
- Become skilled with and consistently use digital tools in interactions and onboarding to demonstrate coverage performance and explain T‑Mobile plans and services that allow customers to live unlimited, feel the love, stay connected, and go further. Complete training on the T‑Mobile in‑store experience, new skills and processes, and knowledge of systems and reference resources while consistently seeking out information about wireless innovations.
- Establish relationships and partner with T‑Mobile employees across channels to own the customer experience, resolve issues, hand off small business leads, support team initiatives, and create an inclusive environment.
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- At least 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience in a retail environment (preferred)
Skills and Abilities
- Passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting and having fun with customers (Required)
- Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast‑paced sales environment (Required)
- Willingness to work alongside peers and store leaders, learning and sharing ideas while serving customers and providing resolutions to issues (Required)
- Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals (Required)
- At least 18 years of age

Hourly base pay of $18.00, plus $5.00 per hour training pay. Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive on‑the‑job training and are eligible for training pay. After training, promotion to Mobile Expert and eligibility for an annualized incentive target of $18,000 per year. All employees are guaranteed a minimum $20 per hour inclusive of base pay and incentives. Employees are eligible for an annual stock grant.
