How can you make an impact?

Sales Representatives are experienced communicators who are highly organized, data‑driven, and can quickly learn and leverage new technologies to maximize the impact of McGraw Hill solutions on educators and learners. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit – is willing to seek out, engage and close business all while working in a dynamic and complex environment. Intellectual curiosity and an appreciation for educational institutions are keys to success in this role.

Position

Details

This role requires daily travel in San Antonio, Texas. Occasional travel for company meetings out‑of‑state is required. Sales Representatives spend 5 days per week on campus meeting with university faculty and staff. Candidates must reside within the territory to be considered for the role and must hold a valid driver’s license.

What you will be doing:
  • Leveraging McGraw Hill's existing customer base to grow digital users and increase market share in new course areas.
  • Seeking out and engaging prospective customers in discovery sessions and introductory presentations of customized learning solutions.
  • Reaching or exceeding established sales goals for assigned territory and partnering with internal support teams to drive revenue.
  • Building strong relationships with faculty and administrators – becoming their trusted advisor for higher education course solutions and continuously identifying new opportunities to cultivate partnerships.
  • Collaborating with college bookstores/business offices to ensure delivery of content and gain understanding of campus initiatives.
  • Ensuring effective implementation and proper use of McGraw Hill technologies, including delivering sales presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Using a CRM system to develop and maintain territory pipeline from prospect to close.
  • Effectively managing business and sampling budget and working with sales leadership on sales strategy.
We're looking for someone with:
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of sales experience required.
  • A valid driver’s license & ability to drive a car is required.
  • Evidence of being a high achiever with a track record of success.
  • A competitive spirit and passion to succeed.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and adaptable to change.
  • Capacity to think outside the box and solve problems independently.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal communication, and time management skills.

The pay range for this position is between $65,000 – 80,000 annually, however base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual sales incentive plan is included as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits, depending on the position offered.
