Job Overview
This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
Responsibilities- Sells products and services to customers in assigned areas/properties through door-to-door solicitation and building relationships.
- Supports efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Meets established sales objectives, increases sales volume and penetration through assigned leads and property portfolio.
- Solicits residential customers, builds relationships with property management, and explains available products and services.
- Generates incremental revenue from existing customers by adding new or upgraded services.
- Responds to customer problems and complaints per company policy and ensures satisfactory resolution.
- Maintains a current knowledge base of competitor activities in the territory and informs management of changes in pricing or marketing.
- Attends and actively contributes to sales meetings and training programs.
- Accurately completes all necessary paperwork to support sales activities, including dispositions, sales orders, and reports.
- Collects and accounts for funds, providing receipts in accordance with company policy and guidelines.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Knowledge of cold‑call sales, persuasion, and clear communication.
- Ability to travel (including in inclement weather) to and from assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in any season and inclement weather.
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and consumer/commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, wireless devices) and software applications.
- Ability to complete documentation accurately.
- Ability to build mutually beneficial relationships with all management at assigned properties.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to deal with the public in a professional manner.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales or customer service.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- High level of self‑motivation.
- Favorable relations with subscribers, vendors, and employees within the service area.
- Knowledge of communications technologies and services, especially data networking fundamentals.
- Strong prioritization and organization skills.
- Proficiency with personal computer and software applications.
- Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
- Experience with consumer education of products and services.
- Office environment and/or outdoor environment with exposure to inclement weather.
- Must be able to lift 10–20 pounds for 20–30 feet (e.g., digital boxes).
- Exposure to moderate noise levels.
- Must work evenings and weekends.
- Variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and split days off.
