Carrier Enterprise (CE) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager to join a leading national distributor of residential and light commercial HVAC products, parts, and supplies, and gain valuable experience in the HVAC/R distribution and wholesale industry.

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing long-term relationships with key residential and construction accounts. This role focuses on driving revenue through strategic planning, consultative selling, and cross-functional collaboration. The Strategic Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for high-value customers and plays a critical role in expanding market share across residential new construction, multi-family, and large contractor segments.
Responsibilities- Strategically manage a high-value portfolio of builder, developer, and contractor accounts to maximize market penetration and revenue growth
- Develop and implement data-driven account strategies that enhance customer retention while expanding share of wallet across our product lines
- Prospect and cultivate new business opportunities within existing accounts while identifying and converting strategic targeted accounts
- Execute comprehensive sales cycle from lead generation through final sales, including consultative presentations and negotiations
- Drive adoption of comprehensive HVAC solutions including equipment, controls, service agreements, and system upgrades to increase revenue streams
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with estimating and inside sales teams to develop compelling, competitive proposals that win business
- Coordinate with operations, order management, and service teams to ensure exceptional sales execution and client satisfaction
- Support business intelligence initiatives including accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and strategic planning processes
- Monitor industry developments, construction trends, and competitive activities to maintain market advantage and identify emerging opportunities
- 5+ years of sales or account management experience in HVAC, construction, or building services.
- Proven record managing large or complex accounts.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship building skills.
- Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Proficiency in CRM system (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office or similar platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the region.
- 5+ years of sales experience in HVAC, construction, or building materials
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Construction Management, or related field
