About Spec Gravity

Spec Gravity is a managed service provider that serves as the complete IT department for multiunit hospitality and restaurant brands. Since 2014, we've handled 800+ location openings and currently support approximately 400 locations across brands including Five Guys, Tim Hortons, Burger King, Lowes, and more.

We specialize in emerging restaurant brands with 30+ locations that are actively expanding at 8+ new locations per year.

The Opportunity

This is not a role where you inherit a book of business, ride inbound leads, or wait for marketing to fill your pipeline. We don't have a sales engine — yet. That's what you're building.

We need a hunter. Someone who can turn nothing into something. You'll start on day one picking up the phone, working your network, showing up at events, and creating opportunities from scratch. If you need someone to hand you a playbook, scripts, and a list of warm leads, this isn't for you.

What You'll Do

Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close for multiunit hospitality brands. Build your own pipeline through cold outreach, networking, industry events, trade shows, and creative guerrilla tactics. Identify and convert franchise groups, emerging restaurant brands, and QSR operators. Travel as needed to close deals and build relationships. You're the tip of the spear — and eventually, the foundation of our sales organization.

Who You Are

You're a true hunter who has built pipeline from scratch before. You understand POS systems, network infrastructure, managed services, and the technology stack that powers multiunit restaurants — you can speak the language from the first meeting. You work independently with minimal oversight, you move fast, and you're not going to take 6-12 months to "ramp up." You'll be producing pipeline activity in weeks and closing deals within 90 days.

Experience selling managed IT services or technology solutions to restaurant/hospitality brands is strongly preferred. Existing relationships in the multiunit restaurant space are a major plus.

Compensation

  • OTE of $150,000+ (base + commission)
  • Commission: 1.0x MRR on every deal closed (paid at month 3 of client service), with a 1.5x accelerator on all deals above quota
  • Non-recoverable draw of $2,500/month for the first 90 days
  • Uncapped commission — no ceiling on what you can earn

Quota

Year one target: 10 deals (ramped — activity metrics months 1-2, first close by month
3). Year two onward: 1 deal per month.
