Senior Regional Sales Director; Northern California, Wire Channel

Job Description

The Senior Regional Sales Director is responsible for representing Virtus Investment Partners’ full complement of investment offerings, including mutual funds, SMAs, and ETFs, to investment professionals and intermediaries (Independents, RIA, and Wirehouse). The role engages advisors in relationship‑building activities, provides technical information on the products, demonstrates knowledge of the competitive landscape, financial markets, and industry topics, and acts as a consultant in practice management and portfolio construction.

• Represent Virtus as a subject‑matter expert with in‑depth knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, and separately managed accounts, including underlying investment strategies and performance drivers.
• Develop new relationships and evolve existing relationships with advisors.
• Lead sales initiatives with intermediaries in a defined territory.
• Identify client needs and coordinate efforts to serve assigned intermediaries.
• Conduct sales and product training meetings for assigned territories.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ten or more years of experience with strong sales skills, product knowledge, and established relationships within an assigned territory and channel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivated, energetic, with strong project management skills and ability to operate autonomously.
• Ability to travel extensively in the field, approximately 90% of the time.

  63 or Series
  66 licenses.
• Remote location in San Francisco, CA.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency (Green Card holder).

• Salary: $125,000.
• Eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
• Travel required approximately 90% of the time.
