Overview

Our client, an organization transforming access to renewable energy through innovation and partnerships, is hiring a Business Development Manager (B2B) to drive new business, accelerate sales growth, and cultivate lasting client relationships. This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional with a hunter mindset, strong follow-through, and a proven ability to build relationships, close deals, and manage the sales process.

Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $/yr

About the Role

The Business Development Manager (B2B) will drive revenue growth by owning the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation to proposal development, contract negotiation, and account management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, cultivate, and close new business opportunities through proactive outreach and relationship-building.
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline to meet revenue and growth targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Prepare and present customized proposals that align with client needs and business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage the full sales cycle, ensuring seamless deal execution.
  • Maintain ongoing client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and post-sale support.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, networking opportunities, client meetings, and occasional company meetings at headquarters (both virtual and in person).
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in outside sales within B2B sales, business development, or strategic partnerships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field required.
  • Track record of prospecting, closing deals, and growing accounts within a full sales cycle.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing full sales cycles, including presentations, proposals, and contracts, with strong follow-through.
  • Proficiency with CRM software for pipeline management and tracking sales performance.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth environment.
