Job Summary

The Branch Rental Manager will increase rental margin and revenue by maximizing vehicle utilization, controlling operational costs, and implementing an aggressive marketing strategy to meet future customer needs. The role focuses on outside sales, customer retention, fleet management, daily cash log, and marketing planning.

Essential Functions
  • Outside Sales/Marketing
    :
    Sets appointments with prospective customers, performs retention visits, conducts customer reviews and surveys, overcomes objections, and sells product value.
  • Rental
    :
    Ensures contracts are completed correctly, places customers in ready vehicles, manages cash and rental assets, follows up on issues, analyzes fleet reports for problem vehicles, checks vehicles for damage, and ensures maintenance and appearance meet company standards.
  • Personnel Management
    :
    Recruits, selects, trains, and supervises staff; conducts performance appraisals; develops strengths and weaknesses; builds effective teams.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    :
    Maintains accurate marketing database, expands relationships with existing customers, maximizes rate opportunities, trains rental counter staff, and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) years or more of rental or sales experience.
  • Three (3) years or more in rental product line, including outside sales and rental counter supervision.
  • Two (2) years or more managing others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of marketplace conditions.
  • Profound knowledge of rental operations and asset management.
  • DOT Regulated experience.
