Position Details

Title: Sales Associate (Leasing Specialist)

Type: Full time,
Schedule: 40 hours per week,
Location: San Antonio, Texas, 78251.

Base Pay Range: $35,400.00 – $53,000.00 per year.

The Role

The Leasing Specialist drives the leasing process for multiple communities, engaging prospective residents through self‑guided‐and‑virtual tours, outbound and inbound communication, and partnership with on‑site teams. The role requires strong customer engagement, sales expertise, and a commitment to exceptional service.

Job Description
  • Administer all duties related to property tours, including virtual and self‑guided tours, while delivering stellar customer service.
  • Engage and educate prospective residents about Avalon Bay properties using digital resources.
  • Promptly respond to pre‑tour, during‑tour, and post‑tour assistance needs.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls per scheduled shift.
  • Conduct virtual tours with prospects (audio and video required).
  • Present and educate prospective residents on pricing, availability, layout, amenities, design, and community features.
  • Cross‑sell prospects to other Avalon Bay communities where needs can be met.
  • Address and resolve customer service concerns.
  • Accurately complete touring‑related tasks, emails, and data entry in appropriate information systems.
  • Maintain all documentation in accordance with Avalon Bay policy and procedure.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and on‑site staff.
  • Participate in coaching, training, and personal development while visible on camera.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Customer service knowledge and the ability to deliver exceptional experience internally and externally.
  • Sales skills with a proven track record of achieving leasing/sales targets.
  • Excellent listening, rapport‑building, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Avalon Bay communities, inventory, pricing, and local neighborhoods.
  • Basic arithmetic skills for calculations, proration, and totals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum one year in multifamily or related property management preferred; experience in a sales position requiring customer interaction preferred.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Technical Requirements
  • Evening and weekend availability.
  • Hardwired desktop to internet router;
    Wi‑Fi prohibited.
  • Minimum internet speed of 25

    Mbps down and up.
  • Dedicated workspace for desktop, with a minimum of two monitors set up at associate’s cost, unless otherwise required by law.
  • Workspace must be secure, safe, quiet, and ergonomically sound.
  • Associate responsible for maintaining adequate business tools to perform job; workspace changes require manager and HR approval.
