Field Sales Consultant, Exteriors - San Antonio, TX

A Home Depot Installation Services (HDIS) Senior Design Consultant is responsible for selling the Company's exterior and interior products and services to customers. The primary responsibility is outside sales via visits to customer homes and trade shows. Most of the work time will be spent traveling and away from a dedicated office environment.

Mandated responsibilities include:

• Travel to customer homes to conduct sales presentations, assess needs, recommend solutions, and take measurements using mandatory procedures.
• Develop and negotiate customized price quotes, present warranty information and financing options, and complete required sales contracts and paperwork.
• Source and prospect new customers within assigned THD stores and at industry events such as home shows.
• Maintain local relationships, educate store associates on HDIS offerings, and promote HDIS programs.
• Attend sales and store team meetings to improve techniques and learn new product offerings.

• Reports to a Sales Manager.
• No direct reports.

• Travel typically includes occasional overnight trips, not exceeding 10% of the duty.

• Mostly seated but may need to move or lift light items occasionally.

• Work in a generally comfortable environment, but exposure to dust, fumes, or odors may occur.
• Requires frequent local travel and must have access to reliable transportation.
• Travel reimbursement will be provided as required by state and federal laws.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have legal permission to work in the United States.

• 3-5 years of in‑home or virtual sales experience.
• Prior home improvement industry experience.
• Success in lead generation.
• Proficiency with email, iPad, apps, and other technology.

• High school diploma or GED.
