Business Development Manager for Energy Cable Sector

Sales Office Opportunity in America

This is a ground floor opportunity to help establish a new sales office in America for this major Shanghai, China listed company. We are looking for someone from a cable manufacturing company who has existing sales relationships in the Energy sector for cables used in transmission and distribution lines for power plants, substations, wind farms, wind turbines, photovoltaic and solar plants, power bank storage systems and related projects.

Salary and location are open since this is a new position, but initially budgeted for roughly to $150,000 base. Our client is an annual US $10 billions sales firm with 54 offices in China and overseas and over 16,000 employees worldwide. The firm does have current customers in America, but this is their first attempt to establish a permanent USA person to handle sales in America.

We are looking for someone who is currently located anywhere in the USA with their initial thoughts of eventually opening an office in Texas, Chicago, or Florida, but you could be anywhere else in the USA and they are completely open to working this out with you to work remotely from anywhere.

Energy Cable Sector Business Development Representative Promote and present our production and brand in USA market. Develop new clients and markets and maintain and establish client relationships. Visit USA clients and follow on the project opportunities and complete the sales mission to expand the North American market.

Must have experience and knowledge in energy cables, and relationships with utilities, EPC firms and Energy companies. Some of their main competitors in the Energy sector are Prysmian, Nexans, Southwire, General Cable, AFL, LS cable so past experience with those firms is preferred. In addition, experience or cooperative relationships with Utilities, such as American Electric Power Co., Inc., Next Era Energy, Inc.,

Exelon Corporation, Southern Company etc. for sales of cables for transmission line projects, wind farms and wind turbine projects, and photovoltaic and solar plants and power bank storage systems is highly prized. All business is conducted in English, including with the Managing Sales Director in China, but it would be helpful to be familiar with Chinese language and culture, although this is not a requirement.
