Job SummaryThe Business Manager is responsible for driving business growth, managing client relationships, and supporting strategic sales initiatives for assigned customers and product categories. This role utilizes consultative selling, category expertise, and sales analytics to identify opportunities, execute promotional strategies, and achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities- Develop refined sales techniques, including consultative selling and relationship-building strategies, to support business growth and customer partnerships.
- Communicate effectively with executives, clients, customers, and internal team members, including independently facilitating meetings and presentations.
- Build expertise within assigned product categories and assortments, understanding market trends, product differentiation, and customer needs.
- Manage multiple client accounts and support business development initiatives within assigned categories.
- Utilize CRM systems, pipeline management tools, and organizational systems to manage customer activity and sales opportunities effectively.
- Develop and implement promotional strategies aligned with sales goals and seasonal business trends, including digital, email, social media, and in-store promotional activities.
- Conduct post-promotional analysis and evaluate sales performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, finance, and administrative teams to align strategies and achieve shared business objectives.
- Delegate administrative-related tasks appropriately to support operational efficiency when needed.
- Analyze sales data, trends, and market opportunities using sales analytics tools and communicate key business insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Maintain professionalism and represent the company positively in all client and customer interactions..
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Typically requires 3–7 years of related experience in sales, account management, food brokerage.
- Proven ability to drive sales growth and manage client relationships successfully.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales and marketing data.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to tailor communication effectively to executives, clients, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make sound business decisions with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM platforms.

Physical Demands- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
