We are looking for an early-career Environmental Geologist/Hydrogeologist (Phase I and Phase II ESA) to support environmental investigation and remediation projects across Texas. This role blends hands‑on fieldwork with technical analysis and reporting, helping clients understand site conditions and move projects forward safely and responsibly.

You’ll gain direct exposure to real projects, build technical skills, and contribute to work that protects environmental and community health.

Core Responsibilities
  • Conduct soil, groundwater, and subsurface sampling activities to support environmental site assessments, remediation efforts, and regulatory compliance projects
  • Log soil borings and monitor well installations while documenting lithology and field observations with accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain organized field notes, photographic records, and data logs that meet project, client, and regulatory expectations
  • Compile, review, and interpret environmental data to support technical reports, including conclusions and practical recommendations for clients
  • Coordinate sample handling and laboratory submittals, including preparation of chain‑of‑custody documentation and tracking of analytical results
  • Travel to project sites and collaborate with project managers, clients, and contractors while actively following and promoting Atlas safety standards in all work activities
You’ll thrive here if you have
  • 1+ year of environmental consulting experience with hands‑on fieldwork, sampling, and technical documentation
  • Working knowledge of environmental site investigation, remediation practices, and/or regulatory programs such as TCEQ (TRRP, PST, or similar)
  • Experience supporting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, including data collection and report preparation
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to clearly document findings, organize data, and communicate recommendations
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple field and office tasks while maintaining accuracy and timelines
  • A safety‑first mindset, willingness to travel regularly (50–70%), and the ability to work both independently in the field and as part of a team
