Asset Protection Specialist

The Asset Protection Specialist role at The Home Depot is focused on preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in the assigned store or stores.

The Asset Protection Specialist uses tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring store security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and promoting a shrink-elimination culture in the store.

• Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, interact with law enforcement, and testify in criminal and civil court actions as required.
• Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out duties in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
• Demonstrate integrity at all times and respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates.
• Remain focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
