Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the leading cloud provider, delivering virtualized infrastructure, storage, networking, messaging, and many other services to customers worldwide, including the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC). The AWS Security US ADC Security, Industrial Security & Compliance team is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing Amazon’s National Industrial Security Program (NISP). As a Program Security Officer (PSO) at an accredited AWS site, you will own the execution of multiple security disciplines in support of fast‑moving classified operations and manage a wide array of projects designed to protect personnel, National Security Information, and critical infrastructure from insider and external threats.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive program security guidance concerning personnel, physical, operational, technical, information, industrial, counterintelligence, and computer security issues.
- Create, implement, communicate, and manage security requirements at a government‑accredited facility while supporting day‑to‑day multi‑discipline program security operations.
- Proactively identify program and physical security requirements, problems, and sound solutions to sustain and enhance the security of program execution.
- Maintain security hardware and systems on site to meet government and AWS security requirements.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with internal staff, vendors, contractors, and government personnel to heighten security awareness and engagement.
- Participate in on‑call rotations to support alarms, security incidents, and critical service outages.
- 5+ years of experience in a Program Security Officer, Cognizant Program Security Officer, Security Specialist, or Security Manager role interpreting and implementing personnel, industrial, and physical security requirements.
- 2+ years of experience applying Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and government regulations for classified programs.
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience with physical security hardware, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Access Control Systems (ACS).
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data center security operations.
- FSO or CSSO certification or training.
- Experience managing secure facility construction projects meeting ICD 705 standards.
- Experience serving as a COMSEC Custodian or Alternate.
Location:
USA, TX, San Antonio – Salary range: $102,000 – $178,400 annually (plus sign‑on payments and restricted stock units).
