Armed Security Officer - Part Time

As a  Armed Security Officer  in  San Antonio, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day  Time      Thur  04:00 PM - 11:30 PM
How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):  You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:  In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and support a professional environment.
Monitor access points, assist with de-escalation during customer and/or visitor concerns, and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or store leadership when appropriate.
Maintain readiness for an armed post by following assigned post orders, observing for policy violations, and reporting hazards, disturbances, and/or criminal activity to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A Level III Armed Guard Card is required in Texas only.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
