Position Overview
Stability Staffing & Consulting (SSC) is seeking reliable and professional Door Monitors to support a
temporary event at the Henry
B. González Convention Center. Door Monitors will help maintain a safe,
organized, and welcoming environment by monitoring designated entrances and assisting guests throughout the
event.
Candidates must be available to work long 10–12-hour shifts and be comfortable standing for extended
periods.
- Check guest or employee identification, badges, and event tickets.
- Monitor designated entrances and exits.
- Operate security doors, metal detectors, or visitor management systems as assigned.
- Greeting guests and provide general directions and assistance.
- Monitor entry points for safety hazards or unauthorized individuals.
- Maintain awareness of activity in assigned areas.
- Report security concerns, incidents, or unauthorized access to event management.
- Follow all event safety, security, and client procedures.
- Always maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Basic customer service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand or sit at an entry point for extended periods.
- Ability to work 10–12-hour shifts.
- Must be dependable and punctual for all scheduled shifts.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must comply with the required professional suit dress code.
Professional Suit Required
Candidates must report to work in professional business attire appropriate for a convention center/event
environment. (Black pants/jacket /white shirt.)
