Investigator Analyst

Task Us is hiring an Investigator Analyst to help build out and lead a broader intelligence-driven capability focused on proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats across cyber, physical, and human domains for the Threat Management Unit. This position is critical in modernizing and innovating the TMU intelligence function by working complex OSINT-driven analysis, supporting a broad range of insider threat investigations, identifying counterintelligence opportunities, and mitigating an array of sophisticated threats.

Working in a highly collaborative environment, this analyst partners across the organization to enhance threat detection, risk identification, and response capabilities, while fusing behavioral, technical, and investigative intelligence into a unified threat picture and delivering clear, actionable insights. The role provides direct analytical support across key Global Security teams, including Investigations, Insider Threat, Counterintelligence, Executive Protection, and Physical Security Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) collection, research, and analysis in support of security and investigative activities.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze information from public records, social media platforms, commercial databases, and other authorized sources.
  • Monitor and identify potential threats, suspicious activity, and emerging risks impacting personnel, facilities, assets, and operations.
  • Support insider threat, workplace violence, fraud, and other security-related investigations through intelligence gathering and analysis.
  • Perform all-source research to identify trends, patterns, and indicators relevant to ongoing investigations and security concerns.
  • Apply analytical methodologies and structured analytic techniques to assess information and develop findings.
  • Develop intelligence reports, threat assessments, summaries, and briefings for investigative and security stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness of current threat trends, criminal activity, extremist activity, cyber threats, and other risks.
  • Assist with protective intelligence efforts by conducting research and monitoring of potential threats to executives, employees, and facilities.
  • Document findings, maintain investigative records, and ensure information is accurately captured within case management systems.
  • Collaborate with investigators, security personnel, and business partners to support threat assessment and case resolution efforts.
  • Track investigative requests, intelligence requirements, and assigned work to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Adhere to legal, regulatory, privacy, and organizational requirements related to intelligence collection and analysis.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of intelligence processes, tools, and investigative capabilities.

Advanced Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Demonstrated experience conducting intelligence analysis supporting investigations & operations using a variety information sources and analytic methodologies
  • Proven ability to perform OSINT-driven investigative research with high accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical writing and briefing skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable security assessments
  • Experience applying structured analytic techniques and critical thinking to intelligence or investigative problem sets
  • Familiarity with digital investigations, online attribution, social media exploitation, and research methodologies
  • Ability to work independently, manage sensitive information, and operate effectively in a corporate security environment

Education and Experience Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Relevant 1+ year of hands-on experience in threat intelligence, OSINT-driven corporate security, intelligence community (IC) analysis, military intelligence, or federal law enforcement investigations.
