Your Impact: The Telecom Customer Premise Technician - Level IV performs detailed installation, integration, and testing of Customer Premise fiber systems and routers with minimal supervision.

Core Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate mastery of installation skills and testing per Telco Standards and perform all Level IV duties with high competence and accuracy.
  • Execute comprehensive equipment installation on a wide variety of fiber system installations, including system testing and integration.
  • Apply knowledge of transport equipment from vendors such as Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, Dell, Juniper, and others.
  • Understand fiber installation standards and procedures; read and follow Method of Procedures, order specifications, floor plans, equipment, and wiring documentation.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and completeness as required.
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and teammates to complete testing and turn-up activities; perform turn-up and integration system testing.
  • Uphold company safety procedures and administrative requirements; review subordinate time and expense documentation for accuracy.
  • Comply with system update requirements for all installation documents.
  • Resolve project-related issues using defined processes; read and apply job/equipment specifications, installation documents, schematics, and test records. Proficient at generating MOPs, high-risk activity reports, work schedules, test records, and project completion reports.
  • Perform in-process and final quality audits to ensure items meet or exceed industry and customer standards; collaborate with Installation, Engineering, and Project Management teams.
Role Requirements (Experience and Skills)
  • Minimum 5+ years of installation experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training; prior leadership experience required. Verizon installation experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma plus two years of technical schooling or equivalent telecommunications installation training/experience.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions; proficient with standard office software on a laptop.
  • Ability to understand company/customer policies and safety requirements; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment background checks; indemnified to be insured.
Travel, Safety, and

Physical Requirements
  • Travel within the home region in a company vehicle; may require overnight travel. Expenses are paid by the employer.
  • Ability to work various shifts; physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in tight spaces.
Compensation and Benefits

Base Pay Range: $62,000 - $72,000 USD
