Restoration​/Mitigation Technician

Overview

Restoration 1 of Texas Hill Country provides emergency property restoration services due to water, mold, fire, and odor damage. We are growing and searching for customer service-focused Restoration Technicians in the greater San Antonio area. • Execute and document all work related to water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, or bio-hazard clean-ups under the direction of a Lead Technician.
• Provide Legendary Customer Service
• Remove water from residential and commercial properties
• Removal of damaged materials in structures: drywall, flooring, cabinets, etc.
• Carrying, setting, and cleaning specialty drying equipment
• Communicate professionally with clients, employees, and management
• Participate in the "on-call" rotation for emergency service calls after hours and on assigned weekends
• Work independently and as a team
• Responsible for the assigned vehicle, managing inventory on van and equipment care and maintenance

• EXCELLENT Customer Service & Communication Skills (written & verbal)
• Valid Driver’s License without a major violation
• Dependable, Responsible, and Positive
• Eager to learn, acquire new skills, and grow professionally
• Able to lift 60 lbs. unassisted
• Willingness to participate in After Hours On Call rotation

• Restoration experience NOT Required
• Customer service experience - Required
• Water mitigation and mold remediation experience - Preferred
• Construction experience - Preferred
• IICRC Certifications - Preferred

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
• Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals
• Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary
