Pipefitter Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipefitter specializing in commercial construction projects with a strong emphasis on copper piping systems. The ideal candidate will excel in layout, fabrication, installation, and testing of plumbing and mechanical piping, ensuring compliance with blueprints, specifications, and codes.
Responsibilities- Layout, fabricate, and install plumbing and mechanical piping systems according to blueprints and specifications.
- Perform testing of installed systems to ensure functionality and compliance with code requirements.
- Bend and install copper lines, demonstrating proficiency in brazing and soldering techniques.
- Work on various piping systems, including domestic water, chilled water, and hot water return.
- 3-5 years of experience in pipe fitting, particularly with copper piping systems.
- Proficiency in copper brazing and soldering techniques.
- Strong understanding of commercial mechanical and plumbing codes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Familiarity with industrial piping systems and threading.

Work EnvironmentThe position will initially be based at the UTSA Residential Hall, with potential assignments at the TX21 Data Center. Candidates should be comfortable working in diverse environments and open to project-based travel.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
