Electrical Foreman
Job Scope
As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising and running crews involved in the installation or repair of electrical systems, or may be the primary jobsite supervisor on smaller construction projects. Ideal candidates have previous Foreman experience, a solid employment track record, and demonstrate integrity and reliability. We seek career-minded candidates willing to learn and grow with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for all FSG Electric field trades on an electrical construction crew or project.
- Prepare working estimates and take-offs jointly with the Project Manager.
- Lay out work for subordinate lead persons and collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure timely availability of materials, tools, equipment, information, and manpower.
- Establish work schedules and man-loading charts.
- Direct subordinate crews in the installation of electrical feeders, equipment such as pumps, motors, generators, control and distribution apparatus like switch gear, relays, and circuit breaker panels, lighting fixtures, outlets, and related connections and terminations.
- Monitor work progress, direct subordinate crews, and schedule work according to project pace and coordination with other trades.
- Perform or instruct on work being supervised for production purposes.
- Handle or oversee administrative paperwork such as official forms, daily reports, time sheets/tickets, safety reports, etc.
- Ensure crew or project safety performance by providing proper training and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Investigate safety incidents and report as necessary.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass drug and background screening
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive customer service skills
- Experience leading crews or acting as a foreman on ground-up construction projects
- Valid TDLR Journeyman license
