The Refrigeration Mechanic provides journeyman level skills in the repair and maintenance of refrigeration equipment. This role is responsible for conducting preventative maintenance inspections, checking gauges, evaluating equipment for deferred maintenance and potential new installations, and maintaining accurate service and repair records.
Core Responsibilities- High School Diploma, Vocational Training or Apprenticeship in a related field.
- Five (5) years of related work experience.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

- Exposure to equipment, tools and chemicals used in refrigeration equipment. Works in attics, machine rooms or other operational locations.
- Medium work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check.
Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
