STAR is currently hiring Entry Level Security Technicians for commercial low-voltage and electronic security projects in the San Antonio area.
This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in the commercial security and low-voltage industry while gaining hands-on experience with access control, CCTV, and structured cabling systems.
Job Responsibilities
• Assist with installation of commercial security systems
• Pull, route, and secure low-voltage cabling
• Assist with installation of access control devices, CCTV/IP camera systems, intrusion alarm devices, and door hardware
• Install cable supports including J-hooks, sleeves, and pathway systems
• Assist senior technicians with device terminations and system testing
• Label and organize cabling infrastructure
• Maintain clean and safe work areas on active commercial job sites
• Follow project drawings, safety procedures, and installation standards
Qualifications
• 6 months to 1 year of low-voltage, electrical, construction, or security installation experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Ability to work on ladders and lifts
• Ability to work in commercial construction environments
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable transportation required
Preferred Experience
• Exposure to access control systems, CCTV/IP camera systems, structured cabling installations, and commercial construction projects preferred
