Under the direction of the electrical foreman or coordinator, the electrician specialist maintains and repairs electrical equipment and systems, and plans and completes the electrical portion of remodeling and construction projects.

Maintenance Dept. Reference #B. Open until filled.
Salary: $26.30 per hour Support Salary Table) with 5% minimum increase for promotions. Includes paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, Utah Retirement System participation, and insurance options. Position may be listed as an apprentice.
General FunctionUnder the direction of the electrical foreman or coordinator, the electrical specialist maintains and repairs engine‑driven electric generators, transfer switches, and related equipment. Performs scheduled maintenance, inspection, and testing tasks. Installs new generators and transfer switches and performs startup and testing of new systems. Performs minor electrical repairs to building systems.
Knowledge & Ability- Repairing and maintaining engine-driven generators and transfer switches
- Repairing and maintaining emergency generator control systems
- Performing load bank tests on generator systems
- Performing preventative maintenance and inspections on engine-driven emergency power systems
- Repairing and maintaining gasoline/LPG engines
- Repairing and maintaining diesel engines
- Repairing and maintaining gasoline/LPG and diesel fuel systems
- Repairing and maintaining engine cooling systems
- Repairing and maintaining engine ignition systems
- Using computer software such as Word and Excel
- Maintaining written documentation of systems and duties performed
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working in a facility maintenance environment
- Experience servicing engine-driven generators
- Experience working in the electrical field
