Overview
M.C. Dean is a Building Intelligence firm that designs, builds, and operates cyber‑physical solutions for critical facilities and global enterprises. Headquarters are in Tysons, Virginia.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair complex mechanical systems in data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing plants, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, CRAC/CRAH units, air handling units, and plumbing systems.
- Install, maintain and repair minor plumbing systems—pumps, valves, piping—and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
- Operate and troubleshoot mechanical equipment, using BMS platforms such as Niagara Tridium, Siemens, or Johnson Controls.
- Read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Use CMMS software to track and document work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- High school diploma, GED, or higher education.
- At least 6 years of work experience, including 3 years of direct experience in a critical facility operation (e.g., data center, hospital).
- Experience with chillers greater than 300 tons, boilers, or other significant mechanical systems.
- Valid ACR Technician TDLR license (or ability to obtain within one year of hire).
- EPA 608 Certification (required for mechanical applicants).
- Eligibility for a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship.
