Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines, as well as similar competitive manufacturers' product lines.
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of life safety products (and competitive brands).
- Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices.
- Complete and archive inspection documentation via laptop.
- Make minor repairs and programming changes under supervision.
- Follow a structured inspection schedule and complete assignments on time.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication.
- Always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 5–10 years minimum documented experience in sprinkler systems.
- RME-I License (Texas Department of Insurance requirement).
- Experience with wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge, and foam systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Skilled with hand tools and multi‑meters.
- Physical ability to lift/move 50–70 lbs and work in challenging spaces (ladders, scaffolding, crawl spaces, ceilings).
- Flexibility to work on‑call, nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass background and drug test.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and quick learner.
- Repair experience.
- Backflow certification.
- NICET Level II Certification.
$35–44 per hour, depending on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
