Sprinkler Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines, as well as similar competitive manufacturers' product lines.
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of life safety products (and competitive brands).
• Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices.
• Complete and archive inspection documentation via laptop.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes under supervision.
• Follow a structured inspection schedule and complete assignments on time.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication.
• Always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 5–10 years minimum documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• RME-I License (Texas Department of Insurance requirement).
• Experience with wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge, and foam systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Skilled with hand tools and multi‑meters.
• Physical ability to lift/move 50–70 lbs and work in challenging spaces (ladders, scaffolding, crawl spaces, ceilings).
• Flexibility to work on‑call, nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background and drug test.
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and quick learner.

• Repair experience.
• Backflow certification.
• NICET Level II Certification.

$35–44 per hour, depending on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
