Job Description

We are currently seeking an Experienced Journeymen Electrician!

DD Services is a well‑established electrical contractor based in San Antonio, Texas, with a wide range of local and out‑of‑town projects.

We specialize in commercial electrical work and are currently expanding our team.

The Journeyman Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment in commercial settings. This role ensures all work complies with national and local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and capable of working independently or leading apprentices on job sites.

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to job specifications and local codes.
• Inspect electrical systems, components, and circuits to identify hazards, defects, or necessary adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job project plans.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other trades to ensure safe and efficient project completion.
• Lead and mentor apprentices, ensuring compliance with training and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues quickly and effectively.
• Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations at all times.

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state‑issued).
• 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of NEC standards and local electrical codes.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing tools, meters, and hand/power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
