Journeyman Plumber - San Antonio, TX

Job Summary

The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for installing, assembling, repairing, and testing plumbing systems in accordance with project specifications and applicable building codes. This role works under the direction of a leadman, foreman, or supervisor and supports the successful completion of commercial construction projects.

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings to plan installation sequences
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including:
  • Domestic water, gas, sanitary waste & vent, and storm drainage systems
• Assemble and install pipes, fittings, valves, and plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, water heaters, etc.)
• Cut, thread, braze, solder, groove, and join piping using appropriate tools and techniques
• Measure, mark, and cut openings in walls and floors for pipe installation
• Perform system testing (air/water) to identify and resolve leaks
• Install sleeves, roof/wall penetrations, and support systems per code requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; follow all PPE and safety protocols
• Support safety initiatives including pre-task planning
• Mentor and provide guidance to apprentices and less experienced team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Journeyman Plumber's License
• 4+ years as a Plumbing Journeyman
• Ability to operate construction equipment (e.g., scissor lifts, aerial lifts, forklifts)
• Must be open to travel as required by project needs throughout Texas
